Breathing fire into your career

How to apply

Our service provides customised solutions for each individual applicant. No two career paths will be exactly the same and this is reflected in our career advice and the CVs we produce. Whilst there are no on-line forms to complete you will be asked to provide essential details that create the framework around which your CV will be built - an existing CV can provide such information though if you prefer to start from scratch this is equally acceptable. Subsequently, we will talk to you at length in order to assess your skills, experience and aspirations. This information is then collated and presented to portray your details in a professional light, focusing on skills, achievements and ambitions.

It is usual to compile a first draft for your perusal, enabling you to review the copy for yourself. This often generates additional information which you may have considered unimportant at the interview stage. Any amendments that you wish to incorporate can then be built in, thus providing a solid and true reflection of your ability. You will then be provided with a second and final version.

Armed with your new CV and job search strategy we will also endeavour to provide a list of useful web sites and employment consultants to whom your skills may be suited, along with potential employers. Do bear in mind that if your background is specialised and industry specific you probably already have good insight as to where you should apply next. Our section on Job Sources gives advice on how to best utilise your contacts.

Initial applications or enquiries are requested by email and we offer a free critique though this is limited to one per person. Should we feel that your CV is well constructed we will tell you just that. If interviews are still proving to be elusive however, perhaps you need assistance with covering letters or completing application forms. We are also able to provide advice on interview techniques if you are securing interviews but the last hurdle is proving rather troublesome. These topics are generally covered as part of the standard consultation and CV design service, all elements being an integral part of any application process.

Today’s fluid job market is not the place for the faint-hearted - rising numbers of graduates, retraining for more mature applicants and the outsourcing of certain jobs overseas all make for fierce competition. Needless to say, those who are serious about their careers are more likely to succeed. So call us - we are very serious about our business. If you’re delivering success you have to be.
